LiveComplete didn’t set out to start a food company. We set out to fix a problem.
When our founder, Anthony Boldin, went plant-based, he thought he was making a healthier, more compassionate choice. The goal was to match his actions with his values. But this lifestyle is not easy. It has compromises and sacrifices every step of the way. Despite tracking his training and nutrition closely, his body composition started to shift, and not in a good way.
So he dove into the science. What he found was shocking: most proteins, plant and animal, don’t match the amino acids your muscles actually need to build and recover. Protein quality is significantly different from amongst all plant and animal based foods, and most protein is unbalanced.
That discovery became the starting point for LiveComplete.
Anthony built a massive database of amino acid profiles, from every plant you can think of, and every animal food too, and even human muscle tissue. He tried to solve the equation manually, but with 12.7 quadrillion possible combinations, it was impossible. So he built an algorithm.
